Arjen is a dad, cook, explorer, gardener, tinkerer, philosopher and unfunded entrepreneur.
His current main for-profit business is Open Query, which delivers training, support and remote maintenance for MySQL and related infrastructure. Open Query does not offer emergency support. Quirky? Sure. The business has been profitable and growing since inception.

Frank Feldmann is the Director of Business and Technology Solutions for Asia Pacific / Japan and responsible for promoting the entire Red Hat portfolio of products and services, including Middleware – JBoss. In addition to developing business strategies and setting the overall direction for the entire region, Frank is the evangelist for Cloud Computing and Virtualization.
Frank has over 14 years of experience in the field of open standards and open source. In 2008, Frank started off his career with Red Hat as the Senior Product Manager for Asia Pacific and was responsible for the Red Hat Infrastructure solutions such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization.
Keynote: Robert E. Shook III
Manager, Linux Sales Enablement and Marketing, IBM Software Group
Session: Open Source Software: Asking the Right Questions — Tuesday at 9:00am
Rob leads the development and execution of the global market strategy and
sales enablement for IBM’s middleware solutions running on Linux and Open
Source platforms.
Rob’s twenty-three-year career with IBM has provided a variety of
experiences, from living and working in Sydney, Australia where he led the
sales team for IBM’s connected e-business products and solutions in the
Asia/Pacific markets, to managing the worldwide sales and market planning
for a technology which IBM decided not to pursue. Document Object Model Level 1.
Dr. Sutor has an undergraduate degree from Harvard College and a Ph.D. from Princeton University, both in Mathematics.
Keynote: Simone Brunozzi
Evangelist for Asia Pacific (APAC), Amazon
Session: Open Source Software on the Cloud – Amazon Web Services — Monday at 9:45am
Simone Brunozzi is a technology enthusiast, involved in IT and computing since an early age.
He joined Amazon.com in March 2008 in the role of Amazon Web Services Technology Evangelist, traveling across Europe and vicinity to showcase the innovative new solutions by Amazon Web Services and help developers build businesses and applications. He is following the “Cloud Computing” paradigm shift since 2005.
In January 2010 he relocated to Singapore, becoming the first AWS Technology Evangelist for the APAC region.

Of Italian origins, Simone loves travelling, meeting people and connecting with them. He loves blogging on www.brunozzi.com, and has interests in clean energies, technology, travels, and innovation.
Prior to joining Amazon, Simone had his own IT consultancy business in Italy. He also served as a professor of Programming Languages and Compilers at Perugia University and worked as a CTO at the University for Foreigners in Perugia. In 2009 he has been awarded the “Informatico dell’anno” award (best Computer Science person) by the Italian Computer Science Association.
Simone has a Computer Science degree with best marks from Perugia University; he spent a semester at UC Irvine, California, where he studied the American approach to business and science. He gained early programming and large scale systems experience at the Ministry of Aerial Defense in Rome, Italy.
